This was my mother until she had a small stroke, she is 94. No one could deal with her, she lost all of her family and friends due to her behavior. The only one who speaks to her is my brother, she is in AL and he has her Durable POA.

Has your mom always been this way?
When a behavior is sudden or out of the norm it’s a good idea to get a UTI test as the symptoms of a UTI in the elderly may mimic dementia. And by the way, a UTI can be toxic.
If this is how she has always been argumentative then why would you expect her behavior to change at 93? Frustrating yes, but not a significant cause for alarm. What else is going on with her?
Call your Area Agency on Aging and ask if they can help assess her. She’s lucky to have you and we know it’s trying.
