She can sit on the edge of the bed with her feet on the floor. She can't lean over and get her legs up onto the bed. I have to lift her legs and because she is not far enough in the center of the bed, it is hard to lift her. Talk about dead weight. Her bed is not that high, she doesn't have the strength to lift her legs. She still uses the bathroom, so when she gets up in the middle of the night (maybe 2 or 3 times) She calls me (I have a baby monitor in my bedroom) and I have to help her get back into bed. I am exhausted not to mention the pain in my back.   Any suggestions??????

MYPETUNIA615, you really need to get your sleep or you would be too exhausted to keep helping your Mom. Can Mom budget to have a night caregiver? The Agency that I had used their night caregivers are awake during their whole shift. They using read or watch TV until their client calls for assistance, or they hear them rustling about.

Sounds like she needs to be in a nursing home with 3 shifts of people to look after her 24/7 or she'll out live you very likely.
