This is a caregiver support forum. I wish you luck in hiring someone.

Have you checked with Council on Aging in your area? In our area seniors take shuttle buses to and from doctor appointments, the grocery, pharmacy, etc.

Are you one of the 80-year olds? Or are they your family members? If they both have any cognitive or memory issues, then they cannot use a hired ride unless they are accompanied by a responsible companion (and this does NOT include the driver). Even county-funded buses or rides require a companion for anyone with cognitive compromise.

Other options can be calling a church to find volunteers or Care.com or an in-home care agency.

Jimmie,
Please remove your private info.
Admins, reporting my own post so that you can eliminate private info posted.

Jimmie, this is an international Forum of a bunch of caregivers and ex caregivers just giving individual advice to people with questions. We aren't for hire. There are some sponsors of this site, and this site is owned by A Place For Mom, and there are some ads on this site, but you can seek care by looking at facilities in your own area.

I wish you the best of luck in your search.
