We can’t figure this out. My MIL acts out whenever the aide shows up to care for her. She starts telling her she has to go “pee pee” “pee pee”. Aide puts her on the commode and nothing or next to nothing happens. Puts her back in the chair and a few minutes later she starts again “pee pee” “pee pee”. This has happened 18 times in an hours time. Then she keeps saying hello ... hello especially if the aide moves out of the room. The aide is threatening to quit because she’s too much of a handful to deal with. Once the aide leaves she STOPS both needing to go and calling out. I wonder she’s trying to frustrate the aide to get rid of her? She’s made it clear that she wants her son to take care of her needs. Anyone else dealing with their LO trying to sabotage the help caregivers get from the Aides?
while she is sitting there, tell her she may have to go to doc to check on UTI... the URGE TO PEE IS DIFFICULT IF YOU HAVE A UTI, AND THAT CAN CAUSE ISSUES IN THE BLOOD. SO, Mom, if youcannot go, it must be related to UTI. Tomorrow the doctor with antibiotics hopefully. Hopfully you are not hooked into an IV for fluids and antibiotics... once it gets into the blood,,, that is a WHOLE NEW BALL GAME MOM, AND WE CANNOT LET IT DO THAT...YOU MAY END UP IN THE HOSPITAL A COUPLE DAYS... GEEZ MOM,,, DRINK MORE CRANBERRY JUICE NOW... GET THE PEE STREAMING. I AM WORRIED YOU HAVE A uti,,,,, AND THAT can be very scary... Are you taking enough vitamin C and water?
Was her son her primary caregiver before?
