The elderly man I know has been paying this woman to come to his home fir sex. Now that he receives medicaid she is being paid by them. How can this be legal?

Find Care & Housing
I wanted to add that if the aide is doing this, she is making waaay less than a sex worker would and he is ripping her off. If she is a gold digger, she’s even more foolish since he is on Medicaid. This sounds like nosiness to me at best. Not some big Medicaid scam.

If this man has dementia or no dementia, he is not telling the truth. I don't know of any old men whose plumbing still works in old age. Most clients are in depends by that time taking all types of meds. Old men talk big talk but have nothing to back it up but a wet noodle on top and a limp noodle down bottom.

This aide is not having sex with a client.

I had a male client who was telling everyone in his building that I was a relative because he didn't want anyone to know that I was there to help him. He sat there and made a care plan with the nurse that I was to help with personal care and dressing. He could do those things himself.

When he handed me a feather duster to dust walls of imaginary dust, I was finished with that case. He didn't need any help. I told him that I was there to help with personal care and meals and not to clean only.

I currently have a client who talks crap all the time until I told him enough of that talk. His nurse mentioned that he was fresh.

If this man is telling the truth, then the aid is setting him up as a sugardaddy. What will she ask for in return? Cash, car, jewelry?
I know other responders have said MYOB. But if this is a person you care about, you my just want to see what else he tells you. If he mentions he's giving her cash, personal property, etc, that's not good. Mention it to his family.
If he is not telling the truth, then the aid will probably be horrified he's telling people this.
If this man has dementia, it complicates things.

Why are you minding someone else's business? Especially someone who's blowing smoke up your butt?

If the elderlyman is telling you this, I would take it with a grain of salt. Especially if there is any Dementia. I may say something to the aide if you find out its all made up. It does not look good for her if this is a lie. I would not work for a man that said this about me and its untrue.

I agree with others here, who feel you can't possibly judge the veracity such a claim.
Certainly this home health aid isn't spreading such a story, and if the old gent is, it's quite likely he's a card or two short of a full deck.

I doubt there's any truth to this story. If you have some proof of it, do tell!
My old Dad had a four word expression he often used to me if he caught me spreading gossip; it was "Keep your nose clean, kid". That's what I would do, and would advise others to do.

Even IF this is true ... and that's a big "if" ... why on Earth do you care? Is either of them related to you? If not, I would say this is a classic "MYOB" moment.

How do you know this is actually true?

If you are getting the info from the elder, and he has dementia, please know that confabulations and delusions go along with this disease. The elder sincerely believes the story is true, even if it is 100% incorrect and even in the face of reason and logic that it cannot be true.

If anyone else is telling you, it's gossip and unverifiable info. I would not spread this further. They too may be getting it from the elder.

If the aid is telling you... that's a different issue.

Are you worried that the aide is exploiting him? Is she not doing the work she is actually getting paid for?
