My mother was taken against her will in the state of Nebraska and put in a nursing home. She has a guardian who has isolated her from all outside contact . She has no phone or visitation what so ever.

There is a reason the State took over her care. This does not happen, usually, when family is willing to care for the person or at least find 24/7 care. The last thing the State wants to have is another Ward.

If your Mom has a Dementia she can no longer make informed decisions for herself. So the State is looking out for her welfare.
Sorry, there was something that happened to led up to the State needing to step in. There had to have been a court hearing.

Like said, visitation is on hold again because of Delta. The only thing I can suggest is contacting the guardian and asking that you be kept in the loop at least. If Mom is not able to use a phone, then she really doesn't need one. If the guardian is not forthcoming then you may be able to petition the court to allow you to see her.

When you say no "visitation what so ever", what does this mean? You go to the facility and are turned away? Or the guardian has not disclosed where she is? There's a restraining order against you? Can *any* other family or person she used to know visit her, or is everyone banned?

MOMnapper1936, I see from your profile that you were taking care of your Mom, and you also work full time. Some how the State got involved and felt your Mom needed to have a village take care of her [nursing home] due to her Alzheimer's/Demetria, mobility issues, etc.

Could it be that your Mom is now at a point in her Alzheimer's Demetria that she can no longer communicate or recognize people?

Plus with the covid-virus Delta variant, I can see where nursing homes would not allow visitors. Delta is much more contagious.

Where did she live before being put in a NH? Who is her guardian?
