I care for my elderly 82 yr. old mom we are very financially stable I am 60 yrs. old we live in Oklahoma. Not where I want to continue to live nothing to do live in a town that's filled with Casinos, homeless. We previously lived in Florida. I want to move back but my mom has dementia. Should I pack it up and move us or stay here. She does not want to move. We are ex-Military so she did a lot of moving. Any suggestions. I love this site.

Find Care & Housing
You could go for a "visit" and decide to stay for a "while." By the time you're settled, she could be into fun activities that she enjoys. Then no one wants to move back!

While the move will initially be hard on your mom, she will over time adjust to a certain degree.
This move is more about you and you having a life that you enjoy as your mom will only continue to get worse and eventually die.
But you have a lot of living to do yet, so why not do it in a place/state that you'd rather be?
I say go for it!

Can't really suggest. This is a decision that is truly personal to you and to your Mom and what you wish to do. What would be right for me, wouldn't necessarily to right for you. But I surely do wish you good luck on the decision.
