What do I do when my mom runs out of money? Who do I ask for an unbiased opinion? She's in the MC section of AL.

Thanks. I'll look for an eldercare attorney, where do I find care managers (I've only encountered them when she would go to the hospital).

Find out if the MC allows Medicaid. If not, then she will need to be transferred to a Long-term care facility with Medicaid paying. You will need to apply 2 or 3 months before the money runs out.

Get her applied for Medicaid .
There are care managers and eldercare attorneys that can help with this.
