A colleague shared this with me. I wish I had known about this 6-12 months before my dad passed away in hospice. It would have been very reassuring.

Nurse Julie mentions MANY of the topics that come up on a weekly basis here on this forum. Why people at end of life eat and drink less to nothing and how you should not worry about that; what you should and should not say to a dying person, what reasonable goals are. How keeping them “clean, safe, and comfortable” are the main goals. How falls, UTIs, aspiration pneumonia, and pressure sores are common problems. How caregivers need breaks and how to help caregivers.
How dementia decline is “stepwise” compared to say cancer.
She emphasizes that dying happens to everyone and we should not be afraid of it. How to just “be with” your dying loved one as opposed to feeling like you have to act.
Be sure to stick around and recommend her films to new queries, Suzy.
I can remember Teepa Snow, but my poor brain can only hold so much at this point.
Thanks for posting about her.
