My grandmother does not have a problem with bathing herself. We just stand in the bathroom with her to make sure she puts her night clothes on correctly. She takes wash ups which she has been doing for as long as I have known her. But now it is a pain to get her to take a wash up sometimes. We insist that she takes a shower at least once a week but that's even worse. Does anyone have any tips or tricks for getting a person with dementia to take a bath (shower)?
with my Dad..he complained that the room was too cold and he was always cold a long time after.
we solved that by running a space heater in the bath till the room was really hot. His towels were put in the dryer in high so they were very warm to dry with.
