If your Mom is on tradition Medicare, not a Medicare Advantage, supplimentals usually just pay the 20% difference Medicare does not pay. What you need to do is call the insurance company and ask them if they pay for aides. I am Blue Cross/Blue shield under a Union. We have a different contract than other people under BC/BS. So even in the same Insurance provider, not all policies are the same.

Helping:
All of this is really for you to research for your own individual situation.
Here are the reasons we cannot conceivably answer questions about this sort of thing.
It is dependent on a multitude of individual/personal rules and qualifications.
1. Depends on the rules of your own insurance.
2. Depends on the rules of your own State and it's medicaid policies.
3. Depends on the qualifications of your mom in needing care as it pertains to the rules of your own state.

As you can imagine, we ourselves come from all over the USA and in a few instances from around the world. We are busy trying to research our own plans, our own rules for our own loved ones. It takes a wealth of time and perseverance to research all of this stuff.

I can only wish you good luck. You will get questions answered by going online, going to the websites for your state's Medicaid, going to your loved one's individual policies.
I sure wish you the best and sure remember the year of seeking information, and the wait times. Best of luck to you.
